Police are investigating the death of a woman in Hillsborough as a homicide.
Multiple RCMP patrol cars were reported travelling at a high rate of speed, lights and sirens through Riverview this morning around 10:30 a.m. in the direction of Hillsborough.
RCMP Sergent Andre Pepin says the Southeast District RCMP received a call at about 10:20 Saturday morning.
He says when they arrived at the residence on route 114, they discovered the body of a deceased woman.
Pepin says a suspect was arrested a short time later, driving away from the crime scene.
Crime scene tape surrounded a residence and patrol officers in addition to major crime investigators remain on scene.
