Saint John fire crews made quick work of a blaze at a restaurant in the city’s north end on Monday.
Firefighters were called to Deluxe French Fries on Wellesley Avenue just before the noon hour.
Platoon Chief Kevin Comeau said crews found smoke filling the building when they arrived.
“The fire was located at the rear of the building and crews were able to gain access from outside the wall. Opening up the wall, they located the fire, quickly extinguished the fire, containing it to its place of orgin,” said Comeau.
Comeau said no injuries were reported and the fire appears to be accidental.
