Influenza season is underway in New Brunswick.
There have been 399 cases of the influenza A strain and 874 of influenza B reported between Aug. 2019 and Feb. 15, 2020.
That’s according to statistics provided by the Government of New Brunswick.
During the same time period, 124 people have been hospitalized, and five people have died with an ailment associated with the flu.
Officials say a flu shot is the best way to protect yourself, and it is not too late to get one.
New Brunswick is one of three provinces where the cost of the shot is not covered for everyone.
