The minimum wage in the province will be going up this spring.
On April 1st, minimum wage will be increasing by 20 cents, from $11.50 an hour to $11.70.
Labour Minister Trevor Holder says the province has hoped to make wage increases predictable for workers and employers, so they can be better prepared.
Holder says this increase is caused by a change to New Brunswick’s consumer price index, which grew by 1.7 per cent last year.
