Three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle crashed into a building in Sussex Corner.
Jason Howe, deputy chief of the Sussex Fire Department, said the collision happened at the corner of Main Street and Needle Street around 9:20 p.m. Monday.
“Two occupants of the vehicle had to be extricated by fire crews,” said Howe in an email Tuesday evening. “The occupants of the vehicle were then transported to hospital.”
Howe said the building was damaged in the crash but did not elaborate on the extent of the damage.
He said there was no one in the building at the time of the crash.
The RCMP are investigating the cause of the collision, said Howe.
