Saint John Police have arrested two people for identity fraud.
On October 9th, police received a tip that a man was attempting to open accounts at two separate bank branches, when staff noticed he was using different names.
Officers were also told that a woman connected to the man was at a bank on the west side.
Linda Nelson, 50, was arrested and found with fake identification.
Ashraf Moilime, identified as driving her to the bank, was also arrested.
After searching their vehicle, police seized criminal property, including a utility bill with a Saint John address and one of the alias’ used by Nelson.
The two are both from Quebec. Sentencing for Moilime will take place in Quebec Provincial Court.
Nelson pled guilty to the identity fraud charge on Thursday, and will appear in Saint John court again in February.
