A former Saint John Alpines player will be inducted into the Baseball New Brunswick Hall of Fame this weekend.
Colin Ring began his playing career with the Alpines in 1994 and wasted no time making an impact on the league.
He won three provincial championships with the team and a national championship in 2001.
Ring is a seven-time all-star, won the triple crown in 1999, and played in 10 national championships during his career.
Also being inducted on Saturday night are the 1983 Saint John Dodgers — the first Saint John team to win the Canadian Senior Baseball Championship.
Big shout out to current Alpines assistant coach Chris Bartlett & alumni player Colin Ring – Congrats on this special honour frm Baseball NB! https://t.co/MiQwvgRNDv @WayneLongSJ @dondarlingSJ @kurtpeacock @CraigYoung8 @TJProvincial @973thewavenews @country94chsj @KOOL98FM pic.twitter.com/K24QIzWwM5
