Police are investigating a Friday afternoon incident which led to several road closures in Rothesay.
The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force says it responded to a “call for service” in the Dolan Road around 1:50 p.m.
Callers to our newsroom said there were a number of police and other emergency vehicles near the Bi-Centennial Ball Field.
Police shut down the Route 1 off-ramps at Exit 137 A-B and the overpass at Campbell Drive/Route 111 as they investigated.
“Police were able to determine that there is no risk to public safety,” said Insp. Anika Becker in a news release.
The roads were reopened to traffic around 3:30 p.m. Friday, but Becker says the matter remains under investigation.
