For the second time in as many weeks, historic King’s Square in uptown Saint John has been hit hard by high winds.
Thursday’s nor’easter uprooted at least one tree and snapped large branches off several others.
Damage was also visible in the Loyalist Burial Grounds, where one tree was snapped in two.
It was just over a month ago when post-tropical storm Dorian toppled dozens of trees in Saint John, including several in King’s Square.
Environment Canada says the Saint John area reported a peak wind gust of 82 kilometres per hour on Thursday.

Those winds knocked out power to thousands of homes and businesses across the province. At one point, more than 18,000 NB Power customers were without electricity.
Thursday’s storm did not create a lot of problems for emergency crews in the Saint John region.
Saint John police reported a couple of trees on sidewalks while the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department had a couple of calls about trees on roads.
