A 17-year old Fredericton male was arrested for assault Thursday night.
Shortly after 11 PM police responded to a call on Fredericton’s north side for a report of a stabbing.
An adult male sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries, and was transported to hospital. He is now in stable condition.
A 17 year old was arrested and will appear in court today to face charges of Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and others.
The Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits the male from being identified even once charges are laid.
The parties were known to one another and the matter remains under investigation.
