An incident at the NBCC campus in Saint Andrews has been deemed under control.
The Town of Saint Andrews releasing a statement, warning residents a hazardous material was released into a classroom at NBCC on Wednesday, June 5th.
Around 11am, the Saint Andrews Fire Department responded to the campus on Augustus Street.
The Town says due to the spill, the school called an evacuation, and those students and staff within the classroom were treated for minor injuries.
The HazMat unit from Saint John has been brought in to address the spill.
Officials also say at no time were the nearby properties at risk.
There’s no word on what kind of hazardous material was released.
