Health Canada is recalling a number of cosmetics from Claire’s due to possible asbestos contamination.
The products include Claire’s eye shadows, Claire’s compact powder and Claire’s contour palette.
Testing by Health Canada indicated possible asbestos fibres in product samples from one lot of each item.
Consumers should immediately stop using the cosmetics and return them to a Claire’s store for full refund.
Approximately 4,880 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between October 2016 and March 2019.
As of March 26th, the company has received no reports of injuries.
