Amendments to the Petroleum Products Pricing Act in the province, as a result of the federal carbon tax, are going to mean increases in gas prices next month.
Based on pricing changes set out by the federal government, consumers will see gas rise by 4.43 cents per litre starting on April 1st.
This impacts gas, heating oil, diesel and propane.
New Brunswick is one of four provinces in Canada that is challenging the federal carbon tax.
But Energy and Resources Minister Mike Holland says while it is being challenged in court, the carbon tax will still apply.
