The New Brunswick NDP have issued a statement of support for nursing home workers in the province, who have been bargaining for a fair deal since 2016.
In a release, interim president Cyprien Okana says they fully support the workers’ demands for better working conditions, and real wage increases for their members.
The NB NDP are championing the worker’s desire for a better deal, as well as better living conditions for those in the homes.
The party says it hopes the Higgs government will commit to enough funding to cover real wage increases for nursing home workers in the province.
