Romero House now has enough non-perishable food items for the next year after another successful Ritchie’s Food Drive.
The food drive is held in conjunction and supported by Countrty 94 and The Wave.
The community rallied to fill up a tractor trailer from top to bottom.
Evelyn McNulty of Romero House says the donations will ease the stress of those people in the city who have absolutely nothing and worry about where their next meal is coming from.
McNulty says when Romero House first opened, a busy day would see 130 meals served and now it’s up to 400 which amounts to 80 thousand meals a year with no sign of the demand lessening.
Romero House also gives out school supplies, clothing and books to those families who need them.
