City Police report there was an attempted robbery on Richmond Street last night shortly before 7:30.
A man says he had just done some shopping in Prince Edward Square Mall and was walking along Richmond Street when approached by two men asking for a smoke. That’s when they demanded he hand over his money but when told he didn’t have any, the man was punched and the two took off.
The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for a broken jaw.
