New Brunswick gas prices could jump by about 3 cents per litre when the provincial regulator adjusts prices at midnight.
Senior petroleum analyst Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com says a couple of factors are behind the increase this week.
“Much of that is speculation on the markets about crude and also of course weakness in the Canadian dollar. We saw the dollar lose about 2 to 3 cents in value,” he notes.
McTeague adds the price of diesel is also expected to rise for similar reasons by about 2 cents per litre.
