A warning from the RCMP about a scam in the Charlotte County area.
People have been getting false cheques in the mail with a letter instructing them to deposit the cheques in their personal accounts and then buy items for the sender with the promise of making money.
Police warn you might lose money when the cheque is discovered to be bogus.
The envelopes may be inscribed with the words “Mystery Shopper Survey,” as well as other fraudulent company names.
