The section of the Trans Canada Trail through New Brunswick has now been connected to neighbouring provinces.
The Great Trail spans just over 900 kilometres from the Quebec border to the Confederation Bridge and to Nova Scotia.
It passes through picturesque landscapes, historic communities and fresh and salt water marshes.
Trail NB spokesperson Paul Jorgensen says although the trail through the province is connected it is not completed.
“The Trans Canada Trail will never be completed because we are going to keep adding to it. Our next phase is actually connecting to the East Coast Trail in Maine,” he notes.
Jorgensen says the process of building the trail has been quite an experience with some challenges along the way.
But he adds trail users in New Brunswick will find some of the best scenery anywhere in Canada.
