It’s a rite of fall in the Saint John area, the annual maintenance project at the Irving Oil refinery.
It begins on Monday and is called Operation Red Fox.
It represents a $135 million dollar investment involving 2400 workers.
The additional workforce will include boilermakers, electricians, labourers, scaffolders, pipefitters and many other skilled workers.
The investment in the refinery is expected to result in more than $15 million dollars in benefits for the Saint John economy.
