After more than 16 years in that role, KV’s police chief is stepping down.
Stephen McIntyre will retire from the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force on November 5th.
McIntyre started out with the Rothesay force back in November 1978 as a constable. He was named Corporal in 1985, Deputy Chief two years later and acting Chief in 1998.
He became the full-time Chief of Police in January 2000.
In a statement, Chief McIntyre says the force is held in very high regard in Public Safety circles.
He says the people of the KV will be well protected going into the future with the caliber of determinded and dedicated employees on the force.
