It will busier and louder along Highways 102, 2 and 7 this fall due to a series of upcoming exercises and training activities at the Base Gagetown Range and training area.
Motorists who use these highways often area being asked to be patient and cautious as there were lots of military vehicles travelling in this area but they do not expect long delays.
The noise from ammunition used in the exercises and training will be more noticable on cloudy days as the cloud cover increases the intensity of noise where on a sunny day, the sound waves enventually dissipate.
On a cloudy day, sound is redirected off the clouds back to the ground resulting in more noise.
