When asked about the three panel members of the National Energy Board who resigned from reviewing the Energy East Project, Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long says they did the right thing by stepping down.
Long says he doesn’t feel as though the meeting between the panel members and former Quebec premier Jean Charest, who was on the payroll of Trans Canada, tainted the process but admits the public perception is out there.
Long would like to see the hearings resume from where they left off in Quebec instead of starting all over again from square one.
