If you’re confused by Mother Nature’s choice of temperatures for the beginning of September.
Environment Canada says it’s really not that unusual to have heat and humidity at this time of year.
Meteorologist Linda Libby says we usually get a hot spell like this every year, “At this time of year, we can still experience
some very warm conditions, for a couple weeks into September.
She says heat like this is usually associated with a weather system from Ontario or Quebec, or it can be enhanced if there have been any tropical, sub tropical or post tropical systems.
Libby expects this hot spell will last until Friday in the Greater Moncton regions, “Still warm on Friday before it breaks, but the cold front will go through during the day. It’ll probably not be until the evening for the Moncton area or the Southeastern corner of the province. You’ll be the last to see the cooler temperatures.”
