Even those of us who are cash-conscious plan on dropping big bucks over these next few months according to the 2014 BMO Summer Spending Survey.
Many of us plan on spending an average of more than $6000, in fact. 61-percent say they’re more concerned about saving money compared to this time last year but 77-percent plan on spending the same amount or even more than they did last year.
The most expensive non-essential is entertainment with Canadians spending more than $3000 on that for the whole summer. Impulse purchases account for nearly 20-percent of the summer spending.
