The Canadian Union of Public Employees has concerns over trends its seeing in the way the Provincial government approaches bargaining.
CUPE says the government is trying eliminate the severance pay and reduce the sick leave.
Danny Legere of CUPE tells CHSJ News the government wants to impose a 3-day period without pay for injured workers going on compensation.
He says what the government is proposing that workers go without pay of three days after getting hurt on the job which he calls unacceptable that they should be penalizing workers who are injured on the job through no fault of their own.
Legere adds they requested a meeting with Human Resources Minister Robert Trevors who declined but says they did meet with the Green party, NDP and the LIberals.
