Three New Brunswickers have received an honour that recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to our nation.
Russ Howard and Serge Patrice Thibodeau, who are both from Moncton and Sandra Irving of Saint John have been appointed to the Order of Canada.
Howard received the honour for his contribution to the sport of curling, Thibodeau for his contributions to to Acadian literature, and Irving for her contributions as a philanthropist and community volunteer.
There were 100 new appointments to the Order of Canada yesterday.
Over the last 45 years, more than 6 000 people from all sectors of society have been invested into the Order.
