A new report suggests younger people will be having more strokes.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation released their stroke report recently. In it, studies predict stroke rates among people aged 24 to 64 will double in the next 15 years.
Dr. Stephen Phillips feels the younger generation isn’t as healthy as they’ve been in the past. He says people should take steps to avoid having a stroke.
Dr. Phillips adds a healthy lifestyle includes a healthy diet, exercise, weight control, not smoking, not drinking alcohol to excess, and avoiding other recreational drugs.
June is stroke month.
