While the ski trails aren’t yet open, the brand new lodge at Poley Mountain is ready for visitors.
It will be open all weekend for anyone who wants to come by and look at the new facilities.
General Manager Bill Anderson says the previous lodge was often crowded, but that won’t be a problem anymore.
“We went from 17,000 square feet which is our old one to 29,000 which is our new one, and it’s more modern, everything is modern and we’re very happy and pleased with it,” says Anderson.
The original lodge was destroyed last December in a fire but they temporarily used trailers to keep the ski hill open and now have a whole new lodge for the season this year.
Anderson says the bar, lounge, and retail store will all be open this weekend.
He adds providing Mother Nature cooperates, they will have some runs open for Christmas.
