The Golden State Warriors ended a 40 year NBA championship drought by finishing off LeBron James and the undermanned Cleveland Cavaliers 105-97 in Game 6 of the final. The Warriors’ Steve Kerr becomes the first rookie head coach to win an NBA title since Pat Riley did it in 1981-82 with the Los Angeles Lakers. Stephen Curry was named the Most Valuable Player in the playoffs.
