The New York Yankees have acquired Starlin Castro from the Chicago Cubs to be their new second baseman. The Yankees will send pitcher Adam Warren and a player to be named later to the Cubs who’s likely to be second baseman Brendan Ryan. The Cubs also signed free agent Ben Zobrist to a 4 year deal.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired pitcher Shelby Miller from Atlanta but had to give up shortstop prospect Dansby Swanson who was the number one pick in this year’s draft. Arizona earlier signed free agent pitcher Zach Grienke to a 6 year deal.
