There is one corporation reporting huge year end numbers even with all this talk of tough economic times. NB Liquor says total sales increased to $394.8 million which is up four per cent from last year. Net income incresed by 5.5% to $152.7 million. Spokes-person Nora Lacey tells CHSJ News, given all the recession talk, they are delighted with the way the numbers add up.
Lacey adds hard liquor sales were up 6.1%, beer increased by two per cent other beverages show an increase of 6.5% and wine sales are up 7.8%. $152.4 million of the corporations net income is given back to the Province.
