The schools in the Anglophone South School District will be open at the regular times but the school buses in Saint John and St. Stephen are running on a one hour delay. The buses from the Hampton Education Centre will be on a two hour delay. This includes all school buses in the Kennebecasis east to Sussex.
School bus # 749 on the Kingston Peninsula will be an additional 30 minutes late over and above the two hour delay this morning. In Saint John, school bus # 548 will be an extra 30 minutes late in addition to the one hour delay.
In Francophone South, all school buses in the Saint John area will run with an hour delay while all buses in the Quispamsis area will be 2 hours late.
Police warning of icy road conditions after the first taste of wintry weather. Saint John got 7 centimeters of snow. Moncton winding up with 14, Fredericton 11, Sussex 10 Woodstock 16 and Mechanic Settlement 21 centimeters.
As of early this morning, NB Power reports almost 14 thousand people in the Fredericton area were without electricity. More than 800 in the Saint John area. Over 13 hundred in the Rothesay district, mostly in Quispamsis and the Kingston Peninsula, 32 hundred in Sussex and 483 in St. Stephen.
