A major fire in Hampton destroying the Pizza Delight near the Rotary on Railway Crescent. Also destroyed is an upstairs pub and apartments. A woman who is pregnant lived in one of the top floor apartments and she managed to get out of the building safely.
The fire began in the early morning hours and the Hampton Fire Department was assisted by nearby fire departments.
The Wayside apartments across the street were evacuated and the building hosed down but with smoke damage, it’s not known when the tenants will be returning.
The rest of the building where the fire broke out has been demolished.
