The secret is out, The Resourceful Redneck made a deal with a dragon, but due to a number of other offers as well, they’ve decided not to sign on the dotted line.
Owners Mike Holland and Steen Gunderson appeared on the Dragon’s Den last night.
After the show, they were contacted by several other outdoor enthusiast organizations, and they’re going to go with another offer instead.
He says, “We’ve got an entire team now, investment team that is behind our business. We are taking our business in an online and television fashion to promote Resourceful Redneck. As a result, I will have the opportunity to be a part of a number of outdoor television shows, targeting specific customers. You’re going to see a lot of us.”
Holland admits, “We had an incredible opportunity with Joe Mimran, from Dragon’s Den, but this new route was the better one for them.”
Mimran had offered them $50, 000 for 20 per cent of their business.
Holland says even though they decided after the show to turn down the deal, they have no regrets. He says appearing on the CBC show was the opportunity of a lifetime.
