United Steelworkers National Director Ken Neumann says the Westray Law is not being enforced.
He says there has been many cases where criminal charges should have been laid, but weren’t due to poor investigations and lack of training.
He says he doesn’t believe the current government is looking after needs like healthcare, education and the environment.
Neumann spoke at the 52nd New Brunswick Federation of Labour convention held here in Saint John.
