Provincial Tories are meeting up in Fredericton this weekend to discuss the future.
President Jason Stephen says they want to be ready in 2018 to be the alternative that New Brunswickers want.
He says they are feeling optimistic about the state of the party adding the membership in increasing day by day by people wanting to sign up and be members of the party.
As for finding a permanent leader, Stephen says more will be known about that process later this year.
