The Conservatives are promising to beef up services to the disabled if they form the government after the September 27th provincial election.
Leader David Alward became emotional during his campaign announcement on the West Side — he says it’s an issue which strikes close to home because his own family has been touched by some of the difficulties faced by the disabled.
Among other things — Alward is committing to provide 1.5-million dollars in additional annual funding to enhance access to on the job employment support for people with disabilities for a 52-week period — up from the current 12-weeks.
