Hilltop Subdivision in Salisbury was cut-off from the rest of the village by floodwaters today.
MacWilliam Road is the only route in and out of the subdivision and several feet of water has shut it down.
Janet MacLeod lives in Hilltop Subdivision and says one of her neighbours got stranded in the water this morning.
“I know there was a lady stuck in the middle of the flood… they had a (tow truck operator) to rescue her and take her car out. I read the water was up to the radio in her car,” says MacLeod.
Due to the flooding, MacLeod says many of her neighbours weren’t able to go to work today and students who are bussed home were at school waiting for their parents to pick them up.
