Codiac RCMP say in August last year, the woman in her 80’s was moving and hired another woman to drive her from Ontario to Nova Scotia. As they were driving through the Moncton area, the two women argued and the elderly women got out with her bag and went into the woods to hide.
She ended up flagging down a trucker who called police, and the women was taken to hospital to be treated for cuts, scratches and bug bites. She told police she had left her bag behind in the woods…
Last month, the woman’s bag was found in the woods and turned over to the police, from a local resident who wanted to remain anonymous.
The elderly woman went to the detachment on May 30th to pick up her bag..
