Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long making a stop at the Crescent Valley Resource Centre, all part of his series of “meet and greet” sessions.
Executive Director Anne Driscoll says it gives residents the opporutnity to meet with Long and to find out what the Liberal Party can do for them.
Long tells CHSJ news infrastructure spending and affordable housing is something the residents of Crescent Valley would benefit from immensely.
He says he’s excited about the Canada Child Benefit, which will replace the Universal Child Benefit.
Long says it will favour people with lower incomes and families in need, putting more money into their pockets.
He says the benefit will pull hundreds, if not thousands, out of poverty here in the Saint John area.
