Saint John police are hoping to reduce domestic violence through a social media campaign.
Constable Les Derost is with the Family Protection Unit.
He says far too often, police are called to the same addresses on a regular basis. Derost says the goal is to get the message out to everybody that domestic violence is not acceptable in any way shape or form.
Throughout the month of November at traffic points around the city where they will be handing out purple ribbon shaped air fresheners.
The campaign which will be featured on the force’s social media pages comes with the hashtag #NoExcuseForAbuseSJ
