The provincial Liberal government is spending millions for upgrades to three high schools.
Harrison Trimble is one of the three on the receiving end.
Social Development Minister Cathy Rogers announced this morning that a total of $7 million will be spent over the next three years to do renovations to the mechanical and electrical systems, building interior and building envelope..
Upgrades will begin right away.
They’re expected to be competed by 2018, and will extend the life of the school by at least 30 years.
The other high schools in the province also receiving funding for upgrades are Fredericton High School and Polyvalente W.A Losier in Tracadie.
This is great news to the Principal of Harrison Trimble High School. Tammy Vanwort says it’s incredible for the staff, the students and the community. She says one of the areas that the students are excited about is upgrades to the parking lot.
