In the months after last October’s federal election, the Liberals don’t seem to have lost any of their lustre as they and the federal Conservatives hold party conventions.
David Coletto, the CEO of Abacus Data has the latest numbers which show the Liberals between 45 and 49 per cent, the Conservatives are under 30 per cent and the NDP has declined to 15 per cent.
Coletto says only 4 of 10 people surveyed said they would even consider voting Conservative. He does point out while people like the way Prime Minister Trudeau is representing Canada abroad, his handling of ISIS and managing the economy are weak areas.
Premier Brian Gallant’s job approval has declined from 33 per cent in February to 26 per cent according to the latest polling released by Angus Reid.
