A crowd of onlookers watching intently as emergency crews worked to rescue a man who had taken a spill on one of the levels of CenterBeam Place roof.
Division Chief Mark Wilson of the Saint John Fire Department tells us the operation went very well. Wilson says the man was securely fastened into a Stokes stretcher and then brought down from the roof with the help of the aerial apparatus on the fire truck.
The Operations Manager for Ambulance NB in Saint John Pascal Rodier says the paramedics continued treatment once the man was brought down and they brought him to hospital. It’s not believed that the man’s injuries are life-threatening.
Emergency vehicles were parked in Grannan Lane between Canterbury Street and Prince William Street during the course of the rescue, which took around an hour to complete.
