New Brunswickers will want to have their fans and A/Cs at the ready as we’re heading into a summer that’s going to be warmer than normal according to Accuweather.
Senior meteorologist Brett Anderson says we’re looking at temperatures that are two to three degrees higher than usual and most of that is going to happen at night because of predicted increased humidity.
Anderson says July and August will be especially warmer.
When it comes to rainfall he says we can expect near normal rainfall but July going into August could be a bit wetter than normal.
As for storms we could be looking at more thunderstorms than usual across parts of western New Brunswick during July and August and getting into August and September.
Compared to last year, Anderson predicts Atlantic Canada is looking at a slightly higher risk for an impact from a tropical storm or hurricane.
