Since airports have to be financially self sufficient these days, Saint John Airport is looking for ways to generate more revenue.
Board Chair Norm McFarlane says the airport has 400 acres of land that could be developed in the same way as an industrial park. He points out the airport is located near a major highway and a lot of the industrial parks in Saint John are filled up.
McFarlane argues there’s a lot more to an airport than just planes flying.
