In the Majors, Hanley Ramirez hit a two-run homer and Rick Porcello held Toronto to one run over seven innings as the Red Sox beat the Blue Jays 4-1……..Tampa Bay got by the Yankees in 13 innings, 3-2.
In the first major league game played without any fans on hand so police could concentrate on keeping order on the streets of Baltimore, Chris Davis hit a three run homer in a six run first inning and the Orioles beat the Chicago White Sox 8-2.
In the NBA playoffs, Memphis advancing to the next round against Golden State after a 99-93 win over Portland……Atlanta downed Brooklyn 107-97 to take a three games to two lead.
