Some help from the province will allow Clean Harbours to grow from 8 employees in Saint John to 15.
The company which provides environmental cleaning services will receive $150,000 in payroll rebates over 4 years and $25,000 toward capital costs.
Critics says handing out payroll rebates doesn’t work and fails more than it succeeds.
Rick Doucet is the Minister Responsible for Opportunities New Brunswick and tells CHSJ News it’s really important the the decision is going to a private sector group.
He says they have a very solid group of business leaders in the province that will be involved in the decision-making process.
Opportunities New Brunswick chair Roxanne Fairweather was on hand for the announcement this morning at the Clean Harbours office on Whitebone Way in the McAllister Industrial Park.
