Members of the evaluation committee for La Francophonie Games are visiting Metro Moncton this week.
The group will be checking out numerous sites as Moncton and Dieppe are submitting a bid to host the 2021 Games.
Local organizer Eric-Mathieu Doucet says the event would bring athletes from Francophone countries around the world.
The event will also feature a number of cultural activities.
The provincial government has been unable to provide concrete numbers on how much the games could cost New Brunswick taxpayers.
La Francophonie Minister Francine Landry says she expects the federal government and private partners will also come on board.
